Thanks to all who helped recently with the great autumn garden cutback. The garden is still a great spot for a drink when the sun is out.
Our focus now is on having it looking bright and cheerful for the spring. Volunteers are needed for one final push for this year. Key jobs to do:
- Planting spring bulbs;
- Cutting back remaining dead perennials so they bloom well next year;
- Spreading chippings over the area behind the herb patch to suppress weeds.
Next volunteers’ session is the morning Saturday 12 October, 10.00 onwards. All help is welcome.
Want to help but can’t make the date? Why not leave any spare spring bulbs you have at the pub and we’ll plant them for you!
